Diamond Bright #WNAC2016

Hey Guys!

So this is the 3rd mani I did for the Weekly Nail Art Challenge (#WNAC2016) on instagram which is hosted by @missbellatracey, @simplynailogical and @kgrdnr. 

The theme for the month is Glitz n Glam

This week's prompt is: Diamonds

I used Essie Starry Starry Night, Color Club Harp On It, Gogoonly St. Merry Stamping Plate,

Nutra Nail High Glossy Top Coat, Clear Jelly Stamper and Silver Holographic foil paper

So I'll admit when I saw the diamond prompt for this day of the challenge I had no clue what I wanted to do. I knew I wanted to do something that looked like a real diamond, so I decided to cut diamond out of the some silver holographic foil that I had because with the pattern it looked like the facets of a diamond. To give it a bit more shine I stamped the star beams from the Gogoonly St. Merry Stamping Plate using Color Club Harp On It.

Eh I'm gonna consider this one a nail fail lol. I loved the thought of it but not the execution, in hindsight all the lines were a bit much and I feel like they overwhelmed the look. But hey it was worth a try and at least the holo looks great lol.
