Hey Guys,

I'm back with a review for you guys! I was chosen by Bzzagent to review the new Head & Shoulders Moisture Care Collection for textured hair. I was sent the Moisture Care 2 in 1 Dandruff Shampoo and Conditioner, the Moisture Care Dandruff Cowash and the Moisture Care Scalp Soother Treatment.

So a little background on my hair, I have natural afro textured curls that goes a bit pass my collar bone. I love my curly hair but I have always struggled with keeping my hair moisturized and dandruff from my dry and itchy scalp especially after doing protective styles like braids and twist. So I was pretty excited to see that Head & Shoulders had created a line that specifically catered to my needs and hair type.

My first time trying the Moisture Collection was after taking down some Marley twist that I had in for about 3 weeks and my hair was in need of moisture and relief, I started with the Moisture Care 2 in 1 Dandruff Shampoo and Conditioner, I was a bit leery of it at first because in the past other 2 in 1's that I have used have left my hair dry and underwhelmed. The Moisture Care 2 in 1 had a light sweet smell and had the perfect liquid consistency, I washed my hair in 4 sections and used about a quarter sized amount for each section. On wet hair I worked from root to tip and worked up a nice lather, when I rinsed my scalp was nice and clean and I was happily surprised at how soft and fluffy it left my hair. I could have stopped there but I had to see if the Cowash could add a bit more moisture to my hair.

Next up is the Moisture Care Cowash, it had a light sweet smell similar to the 2 in 1 but a more solid consistency. I used about a quarter sized dollop in each of my four sections and worked it for root to tip(paying close attention to the tips). The Cowash easily soaked into my hair and I let it sit for about 10 minutes, I was super excited to see that the cowash had some pretty decent slip and I was able to detangle pretty easily. After that I rinsed and again was left with soft and nicely moisturized hair.

Last up was the Moisture Care Scalp Soother Treatment which had some pretty cool ingredients in it like peppermint oil and vitamin e. After I towel dried my hair I added about 3 pumps to each section of hair and massaged it into my scalp. It had a great cooling sensation that I loved and it has a really cool sprayer and is designed to be used between washes, which is awesome for me to use for an extra moisture boost when wearing protective styles like braids.

Overall I was really happy with the Head & Shoulders Moisture Care Collection. It's rare that I find a product line that leaves my scalp completely clean without stripping my hair and leaving it dry. Head & Shoulders Moisture Care Collection definitely raised the bar and left my hair clean, moisturized and dandruff free, I have definitely found some new staple products to add to my hair regiment.

Thanks again Bzzagent and Head & Shoulders for allowing me to try these awesome new products and I look forward to finding the rest of the Moisture Care Collection in stores.

This pass month I had the opportunity to try out the Garnier Fructis Hydra Recharge System through Bzzagent. Now before I get into what I thought of Hydra Recharge, let me give a little background on my hair. I have thick, shoulder length, naturally curly hair that is extremely dry. My hair craves moisture so, when I'm looking for hair care products I don't even think about buying a product unless it promises to quench my thirsty tresses.

The product line includes the Hydra Recharge shampoo, conditioner and a 1-Minute Moisture-Plenish Treatment. The Hydra Recharge system is infused with superfruits like goji berry, passion fruit and kiwi and claims that it will recharge your thirsty locks and keep your hair super silky and surprisingly weightless for up to two whole days.

What did I think of Hydra Recharge? The shampoo was my favorite, it's a clear gel that's full of these cool little of hydrating microbeads that burst on impact, and it smells amazing! It's the first sulfate shampoo that I've tried that didn't dry my hair out and leave it a tangled, matted mess. It definitely left my hair feeling clean and moisturized like no other, I loved it! The conditioner  had the same great smell and a great thick consistency, but other than that it was unfortunately a dud for me. It did absolutely nothing for my hair, it actually felt like it stripped the moisture from the shampoo back out of my hair. Not a fan. The last part of the system was the 1-Minute Moisture-Plenish Treatment, I thought this was okay. I found it more moisturizing than the conditioner was and it left my hair soft and manageable again.

Overall the Garnier Fructis Hydra Recharge System was just okay, the shampoo is definitely the star of the show for me, the conditioner was too drying for me, and the 1-Minute Moisture-Plenish Treatment wasn't anything special. I plan on adding the Hydra Recharge shampoo to my hair regime, but I think I'll probably skip out on the conditioner and the treatment.

I've only dyed my hair myself once before, but the experience was so bad that I really thought it wasn't for me, the color was uneven, and my hair was super dry after. When Bzzagent allowed me to try Garnier's new oil powered permanent hair dye, I was hoping that my experience with Olia would be different, and I was pleasantly surprised.

What makes Garnier Olia so different from other dye is:

  • It's a oil powered permanent hair dye
  • It's ammonia free(so you can breathe easy)
  • It's has a 60% oil blend with natural flower oils(that leave a nice floral smell)
  • It restores hair and leaves it smooth and shiny
  • It comes in 26 different shades(so you're bound to find one you love)

First off after taking everything out of the box I really liked the applicator bottle, the wide top made adding the color and developer so much easier. I also liked that they give you so much product so I was able to get the job done with just one box. Another plus was the gloves, most boxed hair products give you huge dinky gloves that barely stay on. These were nice and fit my hands perfectly, which I really appreciated.

The mixing and application process was pretty easy, the smell was really nice and because its oil powered there was no stinky ammonia smell, which was a huge relief. After applying the color, I still had color left so I used it to go over my hair and make sure everything was covered and let it set for 30 minutes. I rinsed and applied the conditioner let it set for bout 5 minutes and rinsed.

After my hair had dried I was happy with he results, Olia left my hair with a nice even color(no more two tone yay!)and a nice shine which lasted for about a week. I wish the color would have come out a bit lighter, instead of such a dark brown, but my hair is naturally dark anyway so I wasn't expecting it to lighten it too much. Overall it had a pretty good experience with Olia and would definitely try it again.

I just recently got a chance to try the Schick Hydro Silk razor for free through BuzzAgent, and it came just in time. Being a first time mom with a four month old, I haven't gotten too much "Me" time lately(who am I kidding I haven't had anytime). So when the Hubby and I finally got the chance to go on a date night for the first time in four months I had to do it up, hair, makeup, cute dress and of course silky legs. Thats where Schick Hydro Silk comes in, it gave me a super close shave and left my legs soft, silky and touchable. It was definitely the confidence booster that I needed to remind me that yes now I'm a Momma, but there nothing wrong with being a hot Momma!

I really liked the Schick Hydro Silk, especially the 5 blade system. This is one of the first razors that I used that got all the hair in the first couple swipes. It gave me and super close shave and left my legs smooth and silky. The Water Activated Moisturizing Serum was also pretty cool, and it definitely left my legs feeling very moisturized while in the shower not so sure that it lasted for too long at I got out. Another cool added touch was the shower hanger that the kit came with, it was a nice extra to help keep the razor safe and dry when its not being used(I've lost quite a few razors from getting soaked and gross in the shower). Overall its a pretty awesome razor; definitely one of the best disposable that I've used, just the pick me up that this stay at home mom needed to feel sexy again.
