Happy_New_Year_2016_Sinful_Colors_Twilight_Twinkles

Happy New Year Everybody!

Here is my New Years mani, I keep it pretty simple with a bit of glitter and stamping.

I used Sinful Colors Snow White Me, Sinful Colors Twilight Twinkles, Funky Fingers Dark Knight, Pueen Fireworks Festival Stamping Plate, XL Jelly Stamper, Black Acrylic Paint and a small nail art brush.

I'm happy with the finished look, I wanted the gold to look like confetti and the black swirls to look like the streamers. I think next year I will attempt fireworks. I hope everyone has a great New Years Eve, I will be spending time with my family watching the countdown from home. I hope everyone enjoys themselves and is safe. Thanks for all the love and support you all have given me this year, I hope you stick around to see whats in store for next year!

Happy New Year 2016!

Here is my 3rd mani for the Themed Thursday(#themedthursdaynov) nail challenge on instagram. The challenge is hosted by @thenailpolishchallenge and @wondrouslypolished and the theme for the month is Autumn.

To get this look:

  1. Paint a base of Gesso on pinky, ring finger and thumb. Let dry completely.
  2. Open Sweet Nectar and wipe as much excess polish off the brush as you can(you want it to be as dry as posible) then wipe it along the left side of each of those fingers. Repeat until happy with the opacity,
  3. Repeat this process on the right side of your nails using JellyFish.
  4. On ring finger paint 2 coats of Kinetic Copper and when completely dry use white acrylic paint and nail art brush to paint on the lacing for the football.
  5. On the middle finger paint 2 coats of JellyFish and paint 1 coat of quick dry top coat. Let completely dry
  6. Using the white acrylic paint, nail art brush and water carefully paint the outline for the logo(If you make any mistakes you can erase it using the brush and a bit of water)
  7. Allow to dry and paint a coat of quick dry top coat. Fill in the logo outline using the orange acrylic paint. Let dry.
  8. Finish off all nails with a quick dry top coat.

Sally Hansen Velvet Texture in Velveteen Sinful Colors Let it go Nail Polish

Hello Everybody!

I'm back with some more nail art, this mani was done on a whim while I was swatching Velveteen from the Sally Hansen Velvet Texture collection. I've been wanting to try doing a negative space mani and for some reason the texture of the polish totally inspired me.

Okay so I've never really looked into the "official" negative space technique(I'm assuming people use striping tape?) so I just kinda did my own thing. I started with my nails already painted with 2 coats of Velveteen, then I took my clean up brush and some acetone and craved in! I kinda decided on the design as went. Starting on my ring finger, moving to my thumb and finishing with my pinky. I wish I would have done a bit more with the pinky but it was late and my brain went blank. I topped it in certain spots with Let It Go by Sinful Colors, just for a pop of amazing duo chrome color.

I absolutely loved the way it came out, especially with the duo chrome topper. Definitely have to try this look out again. What do you think? How do you feel about the negative space trend?

The theme for Day 22 of the challenge was Match socks. Yet again another simple theme that took me forever to decide on(between me and you I think I maybe be getting a little burned out on nail art but I can literally see the finish line and I refuse to give up on my first challenge). For the mani I went with a simple design( or so I thought) and my inspiration for it was black with fuchsia and white hand drawn hearts. The design looked easy but it was a pain in the butt to hand paint so many different size hearts with nail polish, this girl will definitely be looking into getting some acrylic paint after this.

So I decided to combine Day 8: Animal and Day 11: Lights. I couldn't figure out what animal to do for day 8, so I decided to go with a fun snow buddy design and do a different winter animal on each finger and I added in a snowman for good measure. To get this design I used my dotting tools and a lot of patience lol.
