Recently in got selected to receive the "Glamour Look by Mary Kay" Voxbox from Influenster. I was super excited because:

  1. Their voxboxes are awesome and not the easiest to get
  2. It was for makeup! One of my loves in life lol
  3. It was for Mary Kay, a brand that's been around forever but I've never gotten a chance to try
So when I got the box it was full of awesome make up and I couldn't wait to dig in! Here's my unboxing:

Here's the look that I created using my Mary Kay products:

I Love Love Love the way it turned out! The I love how bright and creamy the the Cream Eye Color is and the Lash Primer and Lash Love Lengthening Mascara, really make my lashes pop without any flaking or crunchiness.

Quick Tips:
  1. When applying the cream eye color try to work quickly, I noticed that it tends to set fast.
  2. The cream eye color makes a awesome base for powder eyeshadows.
  3. When using the lash primer, let it dry completely before applying mascara.

Here are the products I used their suggested retail prices from the Mary Kay website:
Mary Kay Cream eye color/ concealer brush-$10.00
Mary Kay Cream eye color- Violet Storm- $22.00
Mary Kay Lash Love Lengthening Mascara (I Black) - $15.00
Mary Kay Lash Primer- $15.00
Mary Kay True Dimensions Lipstick in Pink Cherie- $18.00

I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

This pass month I had the opportunity to try out the Garnier Fructis Hydra Recharge System through Bzzagent. Now before I get into what I thought of Hydra Recharge, let me give a little background on my hair. I have thick, shoulder length, naturally curly hair that is extremely dry. My hair craves moisture so, when I'm looking for hair care products I don't even think about buying a product unless it promises to quench my thirsty tresses.

The product line includes the Hydra Recharge shampoo, conditioner and a 1-Minute Moisture-Plenish Treatment. The Hydra Recharge system is infused with superfruits like goji berry, passion fruit and kiwi and claims that it will recharge your thirsty locks and keep your hair super silky and surprisingly weightless for up to two whole days.

What did I think of Hydra Recharge? The shampoo was my favorite, it's a clear gel that's full of these cool little of hydrating microbeads that burst on impact, and it smells amazing! It's the first sulfate shampoo that I've tried that didn't dry my hair out and leave it a tangled, matted mess. It definitely left my hair feeling clean and moisturized like no other, I loved it! The conditioner  had the same great smell and a great thick consistency, but other than that it was unfortunately a dud for me. It did absolutely nothing for my hair, it actually felt like it stripped the moisture from the shampoo back out of my hair. Not a fan. The last part of the system was the 1-Minute Moisture-Plenish Treatment, I thought this was okay. I found it more moisturizing than the conditioner was and it left my hair soft and manageable again.

Overall the Garnier Fructis Hydra Recharge System was just okay, the shampoo is definitely the star of the show for me, the conditioner was too drying for me, and the 1-Minute Moisture-Plenish Treatment wasn't anything special. I plan on adding the Hydra Recharge shampoo to my hair regime, but I think I'll probably skip out on the conditioner and the treatment.
